OK. We were all new at one time or another. There are a few ways to get started.
Contact our mentor department if you need help with understanding internet play.
After joining, go and get yourself a mentor. If you want to know more about the AAMC, then go to the AAMC Supply Depot. Also, read up on the Club Charter and the Club Rules.
For bidding help, click here and scroll down to where it talks about bidding. (snip from the AAMC FAQ) Q: What is this bidding thing all about? A: It is the impression of most players that the Allies have an advantage over the Axis from the beginning of the game. Therefore, to even out the winning chances, each player submits a bid for the Axis. A bid consists of a number of units &/or IPCs. The units may even include Industrial Complexes or AA guns. Then the player who made the lowest bid will get to play the Axis. The winning bidded units / IPCs are then placed on their boards by adding the units &/or IPCs to Japan &/or Germany. The Axis gets to actually place more units on the board, thereby increasing the likelihood that the game will be even. Also, bidding enables multiple different strategies to be developed, and almost every game presents different challenges based on the bid. Example of a bid: 3 Inf for Ukraine, 1 Inf for Libya, 2 IPCs for Germany Total Bid = 14 Assuming the above example is the winning bid, then the bidded units / IPCs are placed on the board and the game begins.
If your opponent has disappeared, then: a. If you have not started the game (russia 1 has not rolled yet), then you can simply go to the game finish and select a 'null' game. b. If the game has started, then send an email to the LtCommander of Games and Rankings and make sure that you CC your opponent. Ask for a warning letter to be sent. Your opponent will have 4 days to respond. If the game does not continue after 4 days, then you have the right to submit a game finish with you as the victor.
When we changed over, all the existing email id's became peoples dogtags. So it may be your email id. If not, then you can go to the Find Members option and enter your email id or name. You will get a list of dogtags or possibly yours only. Next, go to the login screen and enter the dogtag, followed by clicking on the "send me my serial number". Check your email, then login ...
1. Go to the Bunker 2. Click Login 3. Type in your dogtag (possibly Your email ID) 4. Type in your serial number. If you forget it, you can always come back to the login screen, and click "send me my serial number"... 5. Click Enter... 6. Click on the "List Games" function. 7. Find your game number, there should be a link to "finish" the game on the same line as the game number. 8. From this page, click who won, and your alliance ... click finish and you are done..
The bidding program only accepts 1 email id / dogtag per team. So pick 1 id for each team, and use them. Then, when the winner is shown, just forward the email to all players.
The bidding agent accepts either email id or dogtag. Just put the dogtag in. Also, if you want to know your opponents email id, it is listed next to the dogtag in the List Games for that dogtag.

This means that something is wrong with either the programming or possibly with the server. Send an email message to Commander of Games and Rankings immediatley. Make sure you cut and paste the message you received.
After you have logged into the bunker, on the rankings list, you should be able to click on the small mailbox next to the members dogtag. This should take you to the "touch somebody" screen so that you can reach out and touch somebody (send them a message).
If you are having trouble with your game master, you have the following choices. 1. Go back to the game information screen (click on the game number), and click "select a new GM" button. 2. Switch to using Dicey, the automatic dice server (awesome!) 3. Wait some more...
